My daughter and I went to California in June. I think a California dream seed was planted; she loved it there. It was her first official 'vacation.' We went to Disneyland, Santa Monica, Santee Alley in LA's fashion district. Her favorite part of the vacation was going to the beach. Thanks, Christian, for being an incredible host! We went to Santee Alley so I could take photos at a flea market. We found these awesome sandals for my daughter. She loves the sandals and has received so many compliments...we wished we bought more than just one pair!

Marisa fell in love with the beach. It was her first experience. The mass of water scared her but compelled her at the same time. She would get as close to the water as possible then would run away as soon as a small tide came in. The water was never higher than shin level, but she loved it. She enjoyed the feeling of sand between her fingers and toes. It was so satisfying to watch her smile as the ocean touched her feet. There was such joy in her experience. It made the entire vacation perfect! We had a short visit to Santa Monica Beach; she was so upset at leaving, we had to make sure we took her to Huntington Beach before our flight back to Colorado.
